ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

Attorney Yumi ChoeYumi Choe brings a precise, people-first approach to business law. Whether advising a startup on governance issues, helping a client navigate a sale transaction, or reviewing day-to-day contracts, Yumi focuses on clarity, communication, and pragmatic results. Her clients often share that her calm demeanor and practical explanations make even complicated legal issues feel manageable—precisely what they need when their business is on the line.

Yumi earned her J.D. from Western State University College of Law and her B.A. in English from UC Irvine. Yumi has been in the legal industry for over 15 years and has built a strong foundation across corporate and transactional law as both a paralegal and as an attorney.

Over her career, Yumi has negotiated and drafted numerous complex agreements—everything from master service agreements and software licenses to employment contracts and severance packages. On the real estate side, she has handled leases, purchase and sale agreements,  and property transfer and reassessment issues. Her hands-on role in all aspects of numerous mergers and acquisition transactions from due diligence to post-closing matters has given her a deep understanding of both the big picture and the fine details.

She may offer validation of an idea, or a challenge to consider another angle or approach. Yumi is active in the legal community as a member of the Board of Anteaters in Law, a chapter of the UCI Alumni Association and was a past Chair of the Business & Corporate Law Section of the Orange County Bar Association. Outside of legal work, she enjoys playing tennis, trying new restaurants, and exploring new places with her golden retriever.
