Kayla R. Sealey is an energetic and dedicated litigation associate at the Watkins Firm, APC. Specializing in a dynamic range of business and personal disputes, Kayla brings a proactive and thoughtful approach to resolving complex legal issues. Her practice primarily covers all aspects of breach of contract, from analysis to litigation, ensuring comprehensive support for our clients. Kayla also expertly handles personal disputes including personal loan disagreements and a broad spectrum of real estate litigation, where she applies her sharp analytical skills and deep legal knowledge to secure the best outcomes. At the Watkins Firm, Kayla is known for her commitment to delivering exceptional legal strategies and results, driven by her passion for justice and client success.
Ms. Sealey earned her Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law in 2021. She was an admissions scholarship recipient and was also awarded merit and diversity scholarships. While in law school, Ms. Sealey was a member of the Women’s Law Caucus and the Business Law Society. The Women’s Law Caucus is an inclusive organization with the goal of facilitating education and discussion of issues affecting all women in the legal system. The WLC offers an opportunity for students to meet and support each other through the law school process. Activities include networking with local attorneys, sponsoring speakers and discussion groups concerning women’s issues in the law, and offering community service opportunities. In addition to her studies, Ms. Sealey worked as a law clerk for several local law firms handling a variety of litigation issues including business, real estate, personal injury matters, landlord/tenant disputes, and estate planning. She also externed at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task Force.
Kayla’s practical experience includes clerking for several local law firms and an externship at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Organized Crime and Drug Enforcement Task Force. She notably second chaired a trial, successfully representing a client in a case involving interference with a contractual relationship.
OUTSIDE THE OFFICE
Outside of her professional life, Kayla is an avid attendee of music festivals and enjoys snowboarding. These pursuits not only provide her with rejuvenation and pleasure but also enhance her ability to bring creativity and dynamism to her work.
