Our world seems to be moving from the world of tangible goods to one filled with data and information stored on hard drives and data clouds that seem even less tangible to the average person as a real cloud in the sky. Now, a cardiologist and founder of MDRevolution named Samir Damani is taking healthcare into the data-age.

The MDRevolution office located in La Jolla is one that certainly looks like it came from a cloud. With white chairs and modern, clean wood shelves with minimal decorations it is a product of the technology age. The medicine that is practiced in the office is described as “personalized medicine” that utilizes much more data than traditional courses.

Don’t worry, it isn’t that your health care is lacking, this office says that they simply go beyond traditional medicine to include a patient’s genetic profile and much more extensive data collection. Have you ever seen those shoes where a sports athlete has nodes attached to his skin with cords running to several computers? This is what it sort of looks like here as the computers analyze all kinds of body data output being sent to the computers.

The practice of medicine has literally been around since the dawn of time, but it is an area that changes rapidly from day to day as research develops and technology advances. As the medical field changes the law does as well. Starting a new business or even making major changes to an existing one in the health care field requires the understanding of very complex laws and regulations that touch every part of daily operations.
