The study, performed by the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics and the Health Care Compliance Association, found a staggering 28% of respondents said there was presently no ethics and compliance board training. The number rose to 34% when limited to responses from publicly traded companies. The study noted “The lack of training may be difficult to explain to a prosecutor after an incident, especially now that … prosecutors may be asking what compliance expertise is available on the board.”
