Couture for a Cause

Association of Legal Administrators' Couture for a Cause 2

“Couture for a Cause”, a recent event coordinated by The Association of Legal Administrators, helped provide for children in need in our local communities while supporting many organizations focused on mental health awareness.

This exciting event combined fashion and philanthropy as member legal professionals walked the runway in local area designers’ latest legal and business fashions while raising money to support these worthy causes through an exciting and impactful evening that included a silent auction, complimentary hors d’oeuvres and other festivities.

Attendees enjoyed the showcase of latest fashions combined with workshops and panel discussions about strategies to improve mental wellness among business and legal professionals.

Proceeds from the evening supported charities such as “Voices for Children,” an organization that provides volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocates who work with individual children and/or siblings in foster care to protect their interests and ensure provision for their needs.

Couture for a Cause also helps to support “STAR/PAL,” that encourages and facilitates engagement between under-served youth and law enforcement partners the San Diego Police Department and the San Diego County Probation Department in an effort to provide mentoring and leadership in order to build safer and more prosperous communities.  All of STAR/PAL’s programs are facilitated by law enforcement officers who help to coach and educate local youths about the “dangers of juvenile crime and violence.“
